CAPITAL GAINS TAX for NON-RESIDENTS: It has been proposed that the base rate for the Tax on the sale of the property owned by a non-resident is reduced from the present rate of 35% to a new rate of 18% and that the deposit demanded by the Tax Office presented at the moment of the sale be lowered from 5% to 3% of the selling price. INCOME TAX RATE for NON-RESIDENTS: This Tax is levied, in example when renting the property or working temporarily.
